Part Polish

Using a fork is pretty easy!
I still like using my hands!
Daddy was getting tired of eating the same old stuff at home for his Lenten Fast, so we decided to try Babuska's. It has Polish Food. Mommy and I shared meatloaf ( I know not very Polish), but she knew I would eat it. There was so much food that we brought the rest home, and I had it for dinner the next night.
We had a very busy weekend. Baba Christine came over and spent the night. We had a lot of fun. I was sneezing a lot and ended up getting a cold. Mommy is keeping me home from the sitters on Monday. She does not want the germs to spread to the other kids. Grammy is going to come and watch me. I should be better by Tuesday. I miss Miss Kathie when I can't go over there and play.
Well, my throat and head hurts so off to bed for me. Sleep tight, love a sneezy - Niko
PS I am sorry to my grammies if they get sick too!

Mommy's Day

I had a good day!
A much needed nap after visiting Daddy, Grammy, and Grampy
Mommy had the day off on Friday. She did not send me to Miss Kathie's. I stayed home with Mommy all day. We had a lot of fun. I took a marathon nap in the morning. My naps have been three and half hours on the weekend. Mommy gave me lunch and then it was time to visit Daddy. I had a great time. I love visiting the office. I walk / run up and down the aisle and I did visit Uncle Dave for a little bit. He is a very tall boy. I get a little nervous sometimes - but I am getting better with Uncle Dave and Grampy. After our visit we went to visit Grammy and Grampy. I got to walk around the block - kind of. The cars that were zooming by made me nervous, and I would stop walking everytime a car came by. Mommy decided to turn around and go back to the house. Then we went to Babies r Us. Mommy said we needed to stop at one more place. That place was just far enough for me to take a little snooze. When we got home, Mommy made me pizza. Pizza was everywhere - even in the bathtub! I had fun and so did Mommy. She likes when she has days off. Have a good Saturday! Love, Niko

100% ALL Boy!

I saw some nice looking rocks over here.
What slide and swing? I like these little things!

I would NOT look in the camera for Mommy

An oldie but a goodie - June 2008
Hi everyone,
I had a pretty good weekend. I was sort of in a normal mood. Mommy can't take me to stores too much anymore. I am not a happy camper when we go into stores. She even brought animal crackers to keep me occupied, but I still was not happy. She will have to figure something out:)
On Saturday, Baba Christine came over to play. Mommy suggested that we go outside for awhile. The weather has been in the 50's here. Baba Christine took me outside and I played for over an hour. I had a lot of fun with Baba. Mommy and Daddy appreciate when Baba comes over. Mommy needs a break and it gives Mommy and Daddy some time together.
On Sunday, Daddy had to work - so we went to visit him. I was not in the greatest mood. Mommy did not understand why, because I took a really long nap. Then we went to Walmart and Mommy got me a new carseat. She is tired of hauling the old one in and out of her car. I was not very good at Walmart. Mommy decided to take me to the Park anyway - even though I was not on my best behavior. I had a good time! I did a lot of belly laughs when I was on the swing. Then Mommy put me down and I discovered rocks and mud! I tried to wipe off the rocks with my mouth, but Mommy kept yelling at me to put them down. I really had a good time with the rocks. Then it was time to go and Mommy let me walk to the car. When we got closer, Mommy picked me up and I did not like that! I did not want to leave. We came home and Mommy gave me some water and she washed my shoes. I played with my toys for awhile.
When Daddy came home, we all went on a walk. It was a very fun, but tiring day.
Have a good week! Love, Niko

Reading Time with Niko

On Saturday, I had a busy day! Daddy and Mommy took me to get my third haircut. Daddy got his haircut too. Mommy thinks it is cute when her boys get their haircut. I did okay. Mommy wanted me to sit by myself while I was getting my haircut - but I didn't really want too. I stood up for most of the cut, Mommy had to hold me anyway. Then Daddy got his haircut and showed me how to sit in the chair like a good boy. After our haircuts we went to Cracker Barrel. I was not on my best behavior. I was tired and itchy from the loose hair. We made it a quick breakfast and Mommy gave me a bath - then it was Naptime for Niko.
After I woke up, I was brand new! I had a surprise though - Baba Christine came over while I was sleeping. I was so happy! I ate chicken nuggets for her. Then we played. Mommy and Daddy came home from bowling and Mommy made me Grammy's beef stew. It was yummy. Baba stayed for awhile and had Daddy's famous Greek beans and then left. I had to wind down, so Mommy changed my dipe and shirt and gave me a book. I did not want to let this book go. I found it very interesting, even upside down. Mommy got some really cute pictures.
Today we are going to visit Grammy and Grampy. Uncle Dave will be there too. We are cleaning out their basement. There is a lot of room down there to run around :) Have a good Sunday! Love, Niko

Yummy

Mashed Potato Overload
I need to think about this spoon. Like my Elmo cup ?

Those were the best mashed potatoes!

Hi Everyone,
On Sunday we went to visit Grammy and Grampy. Mommy was a little worried about my current mood and lack of second nap - but I did well. I was a very good boy! Everyone loved me and my new shoes. It took me five minutes to start walking in them and pretty soon I was running around the house. Whenever someone was going into the kitchen or leaving the house, I would follow. I am nosey like that - I got that from my Mommy! Mommy makes me wear my shoes for part of the day. She told Miss Kathie that I did not have to wear them all day, but I do need practice. Miss Kathie double knots them now! I can't pull them off - no fair!
Uncle Dave and my soon to be Aunt Melissa came to visit on Sunday too. Yep, Uncle Dave asked Miss Melissa to marry him! We are so excited. It was between me and lucky dog to be the ring bearer, but Uncle Dave thinks I would be cuter ;) We are not sure when the big day is - but I am walking and giving things to my Mommy when she asks for it, so I am ready whenever it will be :)
I tried some new things this week. I am not a big fan of deli turkey. I did try grilled cheese and that was pretty good. I did drink to much water though and I threw up a little, but that did not stop me from eating. Mashed potatoes are my favorite!!!!
I am sleepy - I got up at 5:45 this morning! Time for beddy - Have a good night:) Love, Niko

A little of this and a little of that....

Upside down - but I am enjoying a cheeseburger
Not a big fan of Hot Dogs (Just like my mommy!)

Mmm! Pancakes

Waffles taste pretty good too!
Hi Everyone,
I have been in a better mood for the past couple of days. Mommy thinks I was tired and I may be going through a growth spurt. Mommy will try to tame those tantrums though - good luck on that one! Daddy has been working all weekend, so we visited him yesterday at work, and boy did I have fun! Mommy let me walk - run up and down the office. I really tired myself out. We also went to two stores and I did fine - not one tantrum. Today we are going to visit grammy and grampy. Grampy bought me some new shoes. I have been practicing walking with them on. Mommy says we have a long way to go. We will keep practicing though.
Miss Kathie and Grammy have been giving me different foods. Mommy and Daddy bought a package of Hot Dogs for me. Miss Kathie let me try some, and I was not a big fan of them. My mommy does not like them either. I do like pancakes (only when Miss Kathie gives them to me) and waffles. I ate half of a cheeseburger with Grammy. I like trying new food!
Have a good Sunday!!! Love, Niko
