Hi Everyone,

Last week Mommy decided to try to take me on a hike. She wanted to use the leash - but I said "no". Then Mommy let down her overprotective guard and let me go with no stroller or leash. I did great. We had a good time. This was before my morning nap, so Mommy was happy that I was running off some energy so I would take a good nap. We will go on this hike again. We really did enjoy ourselves and it helped that I was a good boy.

I have been a very good boy this week. Mommy and I have had two really good days. We went to the playground two days in a row. We are doing a playground tour again this year. Today we went to a playground at my future Elementary School. We also went to the library. I was very good there too. Mommy quickly picked out a book, and then we went in the children's section. We did a number puzzle for awhile and I did really well. I played with the beads there. I really couldn't find a book, but we will go back. I wanted to check out the puzzle, but Mommy said no. They also have a fish tank there. That helped when we left.

I am getting tired. Time for bed! Have a good weekend :) Love, Niko

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was Father's Day. We had a lot of fun as a family. We tried to make Daddy's day the best. My mood did not start out very good, but by the Father's Day picnic I was okay. All I wanted to do was play with the balls. Mommy let me run "wild" and I got to play with other kids and of course the ball. I did okay with the other kids. Mommy was pleased with my behavior. I ate a whole hot dog and then took a quick nap. It was time to go to Ahmi and P's house. I had a real good time there! Ahmi filled up my pool and I played with the water for awhile. Then I took my lawnmower and went all around the backyard. I first asked Ahmi about the dog poop, and Ahmi said it was all gone :) I had to venture out into the neighbor's yard and play on the community play set. Mommy found a dead blue jay and made Ahmi pick it up. I was totally not bothered by the dead bird - I just wanted to play on the swings. I had a fun , but busy day! I slept real well last night!! :)

My behavior was strange on Saturday and Sunday. It started Saturday night. Just couldn't control myself. Sunday, I was terrible at church. I couldn't sit still. Mommy and I missed a lot of the service. We know it's because I am two, but we are at the point where I can understand more. Mommy and Daddy know that I am a smart boy and I can understand what is going on. So, there will be more punishments coming my way :( Mommy and Daddy want to make sure that I am always a good boy and my behavior does not get out of hand. I have some tough parents!

We had a potty breakthrough on Saturday night. I said "poop" and Mommy asked me if I wanted to go sit on the potty, and I ran to the potty! Mommy took off my diaper and my cheeks hit the seat and that was all. We are very happy - it was a start. We have a looooong way to go, but it was something.

Hi Everyone,

Well, Mommy did it again. She broke another vacuum cleaner. She has spent two weeks trying to get the vacuum unclogged. Mommy thinks she had the problem fixed, but nope - it does nothing. I even tried to fix it. I spent a good half n hour trying to fix the cleaner. Mommy plugged it in (while I ran to the chair) and it still did not work. Because I am two and we have kitties, the floor gets cleaned almost every other day - but with a broken vacuum, Mommy is not very happy right now. Mommy did have to take the vacuum to the repair shop. Once it comes back, I have a feeling she is going to be a cleaning machine!

My week has been okay. I am throwing some temper tantrums, but we consider that normal for me. I usually have them at night, so Mommy thinks I am tired. My sleeping has gotten much better. Mommy tells me "night, night", she loves me, and that" I stay in my bed, got it"? I tell Mommy "got it". We have also begun potty training. No success yet. We are taking it very slow. I am afraid of that big monster. Mommy has all summer to work with me.

After the first month of Growth Hormone Treatment, I would say we are doing well. Niko is getting a little better with the shots. He "winds" up before the shot, but while giving it - there are a lot less tears. If he is tired - they hurt a little more, due to his crabbiness. I am only going to do monthly updates now, since there is not much to report, and I can tell from the pictures, that he looks the same :) Niko is still getting his prizes for being a good sport, and we go back to the specialist in August. After the first month -- A total of 2 inches our "little" man has grown!!

FISH!!

Hi Everyone,

On Thursday, Mommy told me we were going to go to the Zoo on Friday with Omi (which used to be Grammy). I was very excited. I kept saying, "animals", "George", and "Giraffe". On the way to the Zoo, I fell asleep which was okay. I woke up when we got to the fishies! I love those guys!! I am just amazed by how they look and swim. I did not like when Mommy put me right up to the glass. I was afraid those fishies were going to attack me. I was in a good mood for the whole day. I really enjoyed looking at all the animals. I can't wait to go back again. Omi has passes :)

Mommy is on Summer break! I get to see her every morning now. We have a good time in the morning. We watch George, she makes me breakfast, and we go outside to play. I still go to Miss Kathie's twice a week. Mommy has appointments and cleaning to do at this time. Plus, I need to work on my social skills.

On Saturday, I had a really bad tummy ache. Mommy thought I would be up all night, but I just got up once. I was crying and holding up my shirt and telling Mommy and Baba that my tummy hurts. Mommy was all ready for changing the sheets that night - but I was okay. They think I had stomach cramps from a certain juice I was drinking. We won't go into the diaper change that was needed earlier that night ;)

On Sunday, my tummy felt better - but I was having a terrible two day! I was not good for Mommy and Daddy. I even slept in! By 5:00pm, I was crying at anything and screaming. Yep, the screaming is back. We hope it goes away, or there will be time-outs in my future.

Mommy will post a height blog tonight. She is sorry that it wasn't done last week - but there have been problems with uploading pictures. Have a great day!!! Love, Niko

Five Alarm!!

Hi Everyone,

Every Memorial Day, we go visit Papa's old Firehouse. They provide breakfast and then have a special service honoring the Firefighters / Serviceman that have died. Then we watch the parade. Papa was in the parade!! We waved to him :) It was hot! We did not stay for the whole parade. This year, I was really interested in the Fire trucks. I am old enough to explore these big trucks. The nice Fireman told Mommy we could go in one, and we did! I had a lot of fun. Our Memorial Day festivities were short, but we did enjoy ourselves.

I have been a pretty good boy this week. I have started pushing other kids again. Mommy and Daddy are not happy with me. I was put in time out twice on Wednesday for pushing another boy. Mommy doesn't know why I do this. We think it's because I'm two. Mommy talked to me on the way home from Miss Kathie's that day, and Daddy talked to me in the morning. It helped, because I wasn't put in time out that day.

Mommy has two more days of School and then she is all mine :) We love hanging out in the Summer. Nothing too much planned - we will just see how everything goes. Well, I need my nap - Have a good weekend!!! Love, Niko
