Hi Niko Fans,

Mommy only has one more day with me :( We are sad that she has to go back to work, but we are glad she still has a job. This year Mommy will have 27 students in her class. That's 10 more students than last year. I bet Mommy will come home very tired :) When Mommy was finished with her meetings last week, she took me to the Library. At first, the trip did not go well. I was crying in the car, and Mommy turned the car around and headed for home. Then, I stopped crying and I was okay. I was crying, because I wasn't getting my way :) Mommy asked me if I was going to be a good boy in the library and I said "Yes", so we went back. I really like the puzzles there. I worked on the Elmo puzzle a couple times with Mommy, then one time I took it apart and put it together all by myself. Of course, Mommy had to take a picture.

I have been a good boy. My behavior during the day has been great. I still have my moments, but we just keep going. My sleeping has become a mystery for Mommy. It was really bad last week. I keep telling Mommy we have monsters. I woke up during the night, screaming and crying. I told Mommy there were monsters in my room. It was a long day for Mommy. My sleeping has improved since then, but I will not go to sleep right away. Mommy holds me (sometimes) and Daddy sits in my room while I try to fall asleep. I am really using the Monsters though. Mommy asked who made a mess in Niko's room, I replied "Monsters". Mommy asked who put the stuffed monkey in my crib, I replied "Monsters". I have also talked to Ahimi about the Monsters, but she said there are none.

I have also become afraid of other things. I do not like loud trucks and certain animals scare me. Again, we know this is a phase. I am still loving Thomas - ALOT!

Mommy has noticed a lisp when I speak. It might straighten itself out when I go to school, but if not - Speech may be in my future which is fine. A little lisp is nothing to worry about! Even though, Mommy did call Ahimi and asked her if she tell the doctor at my 3 year check up ;)

I like to say "Niko's hot", "Niko's Ahimi / Baba", "Niko's dirty", etc. My Mommy thinks that's pretty cute :)

Well, Mommy has to get ready for her Open House tonight. I get to go to Ahimi's house!! Have a wonderful Week!! Love, Niko

Okay, School's out!

Hi Everyone,

Today was our last Mommy and Niko day. She will have a few breaks this week to spend time with me, but this was our last full day. We did our last Summer hike this morning. Mommy was kind of sad. We loved our hikes! I took a good nap when we got home. I didn't even hear the big boom on the highway. Mommy was amazed by this. I always wake up when there is a rumble of thunder. After my nap, we went to Mommy's school. We found out that the big boom caused a big accident :) The highway by our condo was closed, and the streets by our condo were very crowded. We did make it to school, after an hour (which takes 20 minutes). I was a very good boy at school. I was very polite to Miss Mary Pat and Sister Brigetta (Mommy's bosses). Mommy and I would have stayed longer, but I decided to poop. Mommy made me give back Georgie to Miss Mary Pat, and I walked up to Miss Mary Pat and gave it to her, with no problems. Mommy was so proud of me. I also said Hi and waved to Sr. Brigetta without being told to.

We had a great day! I always do this to Mommy before she has to go back to school. It makes her miss me more during the day ;)

My behavior has been okay. I stopped following directions and listening to Mommy. Mommy needs me to listen to her, especially when it involves the street. I have no concept of cars, and that makes Mommy nervous. We have many talks about the street and cars. I kind of understand. Mommy had to get strict with me a couple of days ago, because I wanted to go my way from getting the mail, and I was kind of close to the main street. She looked me in the eyes and we had a serious conversation. I am starting to understand a little more about the street.

Mommy is loving my language. We had a conversation about boobies :) I said "homas boobie." At first Mommy wanted to know who taught me the word boobie. Then she thought a little more about it, and oh, I was talking about the Thomas Movie. Mommy is loving our "talks". I always have something to say in the morning when I wake up and when I go to bed.

GROWTH

Niko and I went to the Cleveland Clinic last Friday. This was our first follow - up appointment. I was a little nervous going by myself, but we did fine. If we have to go back every three months - the parking garage will be the choice of parking - no more valet for us!! I could not believe they charge 12 dollars for valet parking. Anyway, Niko did great at the appointment. We did not have to wait for three hours like we did last time. Nicholas was his energized self while waiting for the doctor. The doctor came in and gave him a check - up, and when she was checking his ears, he says "No doctor No". Niko and I still laugh about that.

Now the good news...... Niko has grown three inches!! We are so proud of him. They did increase his dosage, but not by much and now we give him shots 6 days of week, instead of 7. We go back in December. I will call the doctor back because I have some questions and in Nicholas' current state at that time, I thought it would have been better if I called the office :)

My Daddy!

Hi Everyone,

Daddy was on vacation last week. We had a very good time. We saved the big trip at the end of the week. Mommy and Daddy had a nice day out at the Amish Country. We took Daddy on our hike. I think Daddy wanted to walk more, but Mommy told him that this is enough for Niko. On Friday, Mommy and I met Daddy in Elkhart, Indiana. We were going to visit Daddy's family for the weekend. This was the first time I stayed in a hotel room. Friday night was terrible. I would not sleep. I think we all got about 6 hours of sleep. Saturday was a little better. I also stopped pooping when we were away. I told Mommy that my tummy was hurting on the way home. A quick fix of Apple Juice did the trick! We had a great time seeing our Family in Indiana. I only threw a couple of temper tantrums.

I think Mommy may try potty training this week. I heard her talking to Ahimi this morning about it. This weekend, I sat on the potty, but nothing happened. I told Mommy I wanted to sit on the potty and I did. Mommy was still proud of me.
