Hi Niko Fans,

Mommy and I can't be on too long. I have developed another illness. I have a cold, but more of a bad cough. Mommy hates when I am sick. I say "ouse" -for a sore nose. Mommy felt really bad, because I sneezed and then I cried hard. Mommy is trying everything to make me feel better. Right now, she is just giving me Motrin, so I can sleep at night - but I am up at night coughing. The funny part about this ..... Mommy kept me home all week from the babysitter's because the flu bug was going around her house - Ha! I showed her what happens when you keep me away from Miss Kathie's - I get sick anyway :)

I did have some rough moments this week. I want to do things my WAY! I don't want to hold Mommy's hand when we are in the parking lot. I don't like to leave places when I am not ready. If I want to wear a bib or apron all night - so let me. I have developed quite an attitude. I am still Mommy's special little boy. We have a really good time together.

Mommy has been taking pictures of me at night. We just play around, and the second one was just luck. Mommy thinks that may be the picture of the year :) I am getting used to the camera. Mommy is hoping to take the camera to the playground, so we can get some good "Shots" there.

I turned 27 months on Friday March 19th. Where does the time go?! My vocabulary had expanded. I like to repeat a lot. Mommy is still amazed at my skills.

I need to go to bed. This little Niko doesn't feel too good :( Good Night!! Love, Niko

Hi Niko Fans,

Mommy is sorry for not updating the blog as much as she used to. She has been really busy, and by the time 8pm comes around - she is ready for bed too. She will try to update the blog this weekend, and no more of this mid - week stuff :)

The pictures are from a few weeks ago, Mommy and I went outside and played in the leftover snow. The snow was just starting to melt. We went out a few weeks before that, and I was miserable. The snow was too high and I kept falling. We try to get outside as much as we can. The weather is (finally) nice, and I love to play outside!

I have been a good boy this week. I am really enjoying my time with Mommy. Mommy feels bad when she has to go to work and can't spend as much time as she wants with me. I understand though. If she didn't work, we would be living in a cardboard box, and what would I do without George?! We really enjoy our bedtime routine. Mommy doesn't even have to say bedtime, I grab my sippy, book, and bowl and lead Mommy to the crib. I still have terrible two moments, but that is going to happen. We just roll with them and wait 5 minutes and then I'm back to my old self.

Hi Everyone!

Mommy and I have a guilty pleasure --- we like to watch Nick Jr. We don't watch it as much as PBS, but on the weekends and right before bed - we have no choice. Mommy and I have our "chill" time at 7:30pm and watch Dora before I go to bed. We love that time at night. It gives us a chance to reconnect after a long day and get ready for a nice quiet night in our beds. Mommy was walking into the room and saw that I was getting excited for the song, so of course she had to bring out the camera. My mommy loves her new camera, but me - not so much. The flash is very bright. You might notice in some pictures that I squint. I am getting better about it though.

Ok, back to the TV part. Mommy doesn't want you to think that we watch enormous amounts of TV - because we really don't. Mommy uses TV time as fillers or breaks :)

I have been a VERY good boy. It has been going on for about two weeks. Mommy can't get over the behavior. She knows we will have an ouchie day, but we are enjoying my behavior while it lasts. Last Sunday, we were able to go outside for a little bit. Mommy and I saw some geese - or as I say "Goose". We even saw some land in the way back. Mommy took pictures of our adventure and that will be in our next blog.

We do have a new night - time routine. I am no longer carried to my crib. I must be walked to bed, holding Mommy's hand, of course! I take a book and sometimes a sippy with me to bed. I read before I go to bed, and then I am out like a light - within 5 minutes. Mommy loves this new routine. She is a little sad, that I am again showing grown up behavior.

Mommy has the day off on Friday. We are hoping to go the playground, but it is suppose to rain. Fingers crossed for no rain. She said if it rains, we will go to the library. I must behave though.

Elmo Bubble Bath

Bubbles everywhere!

Hi Everyone,

Mommy decided to try a bubble bath a couple of weeks, and I loved it! I have a bubble bath almost every night. I do have a good time. Mommy also adds Elmo pellets to the bath water and it changes color. I really like that too! I have a bucket full of toys. Mommy just sits back and watches me play with most of my toys. The hot item right now, a cup. I can fill it up with water and then dump it back out. Mommy always tells me, "The water has to stay in the tub!" She always takes away my fun.

I have been a pretty good boy. I really know my letters now. Grammy is trying to get me to spell my name - but we aren't there yet. I repeat the alphabet with Mommy every night. We also read three books a night. Right now we are reading - The Foot Book, The Mitten, and Curious George or Elmo book. The Mitten is my favorite right now. The Foot Book is my second favorite.

I am still a very good helper. I do pretty much anything my Mommy asks me too. She can tell that I am growing up.

The terrible twos have hit - but they are not too bad. Nothing Mommy and I can't handle. I like to scream at her, and well that's just not acceptable. We are working on that. I still do the occasional biting and hitting.
