Easter

Hi Everyone,

I had a very good Easter weekend. We started on Saturday when Mommy and I colored Easter Eggs. At first, I did not want to listen to Mommy, but once I started listening we had fun! I also ate two hard boiled eggs when they were ready. Mommy was shocked by that. I do like hard boiled eggs. My Easter Basket included two books, a DVD (Happy Feet), and some candy. Mommy thinks it's pretty amazing that I am not a candy boy. I ate a few pieces, but we still have plenty of candy. One thing I will not eat are Peeps. Ahmi knew this, but Mommy didn't and I found Peeps in my Easter basket - yuck! We went to Ahmi and P's house for dinner. I loved the ham and I was a very good boy.

On Monday, Mommy and I went to the growth specialist. I had to promise Mommy that I would be a good boy, so we could go to the Children's Museum. I think the nap that I took on the way down there helped. I was extremely good at the museum and the specialist. I got a special engine that day, because I was so good and I had to get blood taken again. After a year of growth hormone, I have grown almost 5 inches!! We are very happy with my progress.

The rest of the week got kind of interesting. On Wednesday, I was starting to cough a little. Ahmi told Mommy that two kids caught pink eye at Miss Kathie's. Well, everything went down hill from that day. I was sick for Baba on Thursday and sick for Ahmi on Friday. Mommy took me to the doctor on Saturday, and it was confirmed that I had pink eye in both eyes and a viral infection. I have one nasty cough. I also stopped eating for a couple of days. I lost 2-3 pounds! I did eat a whole hot dog tonight. Mommy thought it was funny how attached I was to the doctor. I wanted to give her hugs, etc. The doctor really did not want to touch my face or hug me. She said this viral infection is going around. Hopefully, I will be okay by Tuesday when I go back to the sitters, which I am sure I will be. No church on Sunday though. I don't anyone else to have my yuckies :( Mommy hopes I sleep through the night. She is VERY pregnant and I have been getting Mommy up two nights in a row. It's not like she is sleeping anyway ;)

Hi Everyone,

What a week! We really didn't do too much, but we were still busy - if that makes any sense :) This week flew by. Mommy wishes she had one more week. Sadly, it rained all week, so we were not able to enjoy outdoor activities very much. I think we went out for a little bit on one day. We still had fun! Ahmi came over almost everyday to help Mommy.

The big news...... I am in my big boy bed in my new room! Mommy wishes the big news was that I am potty trained, but that will come in a later blog (hopefully). Mommy put me in the big boy bed on Monday. I have done very well! I give her some problems before she leaves my room, but overall, Mommy cannot complain on how well I adjusted to the new setup! I do not like change - which is a problem when we travel, however, once I am in my room - I do not leave. So, there is one positive and one negative. Mommy is very proud of how I adapted to the change. I sleep through the night! One night we had three rounds of thunderstorms (my second night of big boy bed) and I did not wake up at all.

I have been a very good boy this week. Because of the sleeping change, Mommy opted to give me no naps this week. She figured the more tired I was at bedtime, I wouldn't worry about being in a new room and it worked! She did squeak in a nap this afternoon though - after I made a mess in my room ;) Mommy really did enjoy our last vacation together - with just being us two.
This Monday, Mommy has an ultrasound for baby Jacob, but then we go to the specialist and Children's Museum with Ahmi. I can't wait! I am already talking about the sand :)

Hi Everyone,

Last Sunday, we had one beautiful Spring day in April. It was over 80 degrees and Mommy decided to take me outside for awhile. We thought this would be a good time to get ready for the Easter Bunny. Mommy said, we had to put eggs on the branches so the Easter Bunny knew to come to my house. The amazing part.... the day after we put the eggs on the bushes, they bloomed. The Easter Bunny can't miss our house now. We did some other things outside that day. I played with water, rocks, and grass. I still use my green car. We had fun! After that day, it rained a whole week and got cold again :)

I have been a pretty good boy. I got sick in the middle of the week. Nothing too seriously, a dab of a cold, but it didn't keep us up at night - thank goodness. I think Mommy caught it in time and gave me medicine. I am better now! I have had to use the time out corner twice today. I was not listening to Mommy or Daddy. I did pretty well in the corner. I did not move. We all know, that corner will be used a few more times this year ;) Welcome to threes!

Mommy has the week off. Ahmi is coming over and they are moving me into my new room. I got my new bed today. Mommy decided to purchase a toddler bed, because I have been in the crib for such a long time. She doesn't think I will do well in a big bed - yet. I get to take all my blankets and stuffed animals with me. Mommy also got me a new bed sheet set. Hopefully, all goes well with the transition. It's time for the move. I can't share my crib with my new baby brother.

Hi Everyone,

We hope everyone is doing well. I am having better days - Yay!! Mommy has been very proud of my behavior. She really likes when I tell her that I will be a good boy and I am! Mommy loves spending the night time with me. We have our routine, and Mommy and I are already planning on the new routine once Jacob comes. We figure we will let Daddy handle Jacob, while Mommy is all mine :)
I haven't been an angel - but my behavior is improving. I still have meltdowns, especially when I do not have naps. Mommy realizes that naps are still important to me, which is okay. She made a mistake on Sunday, and she will never do that again!! I slept until 8am on Sunday and she figured we could go shopping right after church, but she was wrong. I took a 1/2 hour nap in the car and when I woke up, I was a B-R-A-T. I do have a favorite movie (again) - Happy Feet! We had a family movie night last Saturday, because Daddy was actually home a little earlier than normal, with threats from Mommy :) and we watched a movie together. I really like that movie. Daddy said, the Easter Bunny will bring me the movie if I go potty in the big potty. I told Mommy that night what the Easter Bunny was going to bring me. Mommy thinks it's cute that I am VERY excited for Easter this year. Holidays are getting more fun in this household.
I am becoming more smart everyday with my vocabulary and knowledge of things. I am holding back on the potty training, which drives Mommy nuts - but she knows it will happen one of these days.
I need to go to bed - because it has been one of those nights!! Have a good night :) Love, Niko!
