Hi Everyone,

Mommy and I are very sorry that we did not update the blog last week. Mommy was very tired and she went right to bed, when I decided to go to bed. Mommy also had Report Cards to do. We should be back on track now, and maybe even do a few extra blogs this week. It has also been hard to do blogs, because not much is going on. It has been a long cold winter, and we try to go outside when we can, but it's been too cold :(

This morning Mommy and Ahmi took me to the growth specialist. I was happy because Mommy took the day off of work to take me. I did okay at the specialist - I was on my usual behavior. The doctor is very happy with my weight. We don't want my weight to creep up because with this syndrome that I have obesity is very common. My height has improved since August, but not much. The doctor is still very pleased with the direction my height is going, but he was unsure if he needed to increase my dosage. Only one way to find if the dosage needed be increased was by blood. Yep, they took more blood! The door was closed and Ahmi still heard me in the waiting room. After they took blood, we went to the Children's Museum. I had fun! I played in the sandbox and the water table. They had a lot of stuff for me to play with. Mommy promised me we would go back.

We all survived my first month of three. The second month has been a little rough, but Mommy still loves me :) Have a good week!! Love, Niko

3 year Check-up!

Hi Niko Fans,
Last Saturday, I went to see the doctor for my 3 year check up. It went very well. No dramatic calls, like we had last year :) Mommy really liked the doctor and we will probably request her for my 4 year check up. We have to call a couple of months before the appointment to make sure we get her. Yep, it was a lady doctor - which we both like :) We walked into the room with the scale, and I called myself "Doctor Niko". I stepped right on the big boy scale. I had no problems with the scale. When the nurse wanted to take my measurements for height, I was not a big fan of that. It meant that I had to stand still for more than 1 second. I had two shots, which made my shoulders hurt for the rest of the day :( Mommy opted not to do my hormone shot that night.
Now, the stats:
3 year appointment - Weight : 28 pounds (birth: 4pounds)
3 year appointment - Height : 34 1/2 inches (birth: 18 inches)
I am finally on the charts for Height! Mommy and I are so happy!!! I have also grown an inch and a half since August. I have grown 4 1/2 inches since I have been on the hormone shots.
Everything else was fine. The doctor said my lisp isn't anything to be concerned about. She said I won't even qualify for early speech, because I speak so well and clear. The doctor told Mommy to practice my fine motor skills a little more - for example drawing a line or circle. I can name the shapes, but I need to work on the drawing part :) Doctor wasn't concerned about anything - she said I was right on track with everything.
As for my sickness that happens once a month - They are not sure what is happening. My tests came back normal. The doctor said if it happens again they will refer us to a GI doctor. Great another specialist!

Hi Everyone,


I AM BACK! I let Mommy blog for a couple of days. She had to do the end of the year stuff. We hope you enjoyed the pictures.

We had a great time on Mommy's break. It went by so quick. Mommy had a rough week of missing me when she was back at school. She goes through this every time she is home with me. What can I say? I am a charmer :) During Mommy's break, we colored, went to the library, went outside, and just had fun!! We also celebrated my birthday, Christmas and New Years!

We went back to our normal schedule last week. Ahmi sees me twice a week now, and I am excited about that. Baba and Papa take me to Cracker Barrel on Thursdays, which I totally love. Baba got me Toy Story 3, and we can't stop watching it. Even Mommy likes it.

Look for my 3 year check up blog. It went well, but we will save that for another blog. Also, check out www.balyeatbean2.blogspot.com - because there is some news :)
