Greetings Niko Fans!!

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddies!!! I would like to give a special shout out to my Daddy. I love him very much and I will continue to be clingy. I have become very fond of my daddy. It never was like this, but as I am getting older, I think my daddy is pretty neat. I get very excited when I see him in the evenings. I always help him with his shoes in the morning. Just in case he forgets his shoes, I say "shoe". I enjoy my walks with Daddy and we have nice conversations. I will say Daddy too, when I feel like it ;)

Our Father's Day was very nice. Uncle Dave and both sets of grandparents came over for dinner. Grandpa Earl had a wonderful time. He is still in a lot of pain, but I blew him a couple of kisses and he enjoyed that. We also celebrated my half birthday. Since my birthday is 6 days before Christmas, mommy wanted a little celebration. Those grammies of mine, even got me gifts. Last weekend, Baba Christine bought a whole box of diapers and bought me some cute clothes. Grammy Joy bought me a CD / Radio player (toy) and sandals and some outfits. I am one stylish dude. Watch out Ladies :)

Mommy has been picking out some "old" pictures. We hope you do not mind. We are not sure why, she is picking out older pictures - maybe she misses my "baby" days. I had a very good weekend!!! On Monday, I am going to smash a cupcake - since I fell asleep on Baba today and Grammy and Grandpa left. Mommy will of course take pictures, and hopefully they come out good!!! 18 Months!!

Hi Everyone.

Today I turned 18 months or a year and a half. It was a normal day. The weather was pretty nice in the afternoon, so Mommy decided to take me to my favorite place, the Playground. I really wasn't feeling the Playground today. We were there for about 20 minutes and I wanted to be picked up and held. Oh yes, I was kind of clingy today too. Mommy and I came home and I helped her clean. She has been in a cleaning mood lately. We did the windows and dusted furniture today. I helped with everything! Mommy made a yummy dinner and then we went shopping for Father's Day dinner on Sunday.

My sleeping has improved a lot. I sometimes argue with Mommy about going to sleep, but usually I go right down. I only argue when Mommy puts me down to early. I have been napping really good too.

Hi Everyone,

On June 12, 2009, Mommy decided we were going to have a Mommy and Niko day. She worked very hard during the week to close the school year. Now it is Summer!!! Mommy hasn't been feeling too well, but we still made the effort to do fun things on Friday. First, I slept in! I woke up at 7:45am. We had to go to Mommy's school, so she could sign her contract for next year. I was in there when she signed it and I was an okay boy while she was talking to her boss :) All of Mommy's teacher friends and principal got to see me. They thought I was cute and smart! After school, we came back home and Mommy decided I needed a nap. I took a one hour nap - oops! Then we went to McDonalds and I got a Happy Meal. Mommy and I went to the park to run off some of the yummy lunch we had. I discovered sand at the volleyball court, and I love to climb the picnic tables. I love the park so much, that Mommy may take me twice a week. She is also thinking about getting me involved in Swimming Lessons, I have the potential to be a good swimmer.

When we got back from the Park, Mommy thought I might need another nap, and she was right - I slept for an hour and a half. I had some difficulty falling asleep last night - but I did.

Today Baba Christine is coming over, and that means we get to play outside! Have a good weekend :) Love, Niko

Hi Niko Fans,

We had a pretty good week in the sleep department. It helped that I cut two molars, and I can sleep and breathe better now. We are almost back to normal. Mommy sometimes rocks me to sleep, but lately I want to get down from her lap and climb in the drawers of my dresser or play with the nightlights. If I do this, Mommy puts me in the crib and walks out, I cry for about a minute, then I am out. I still go to bed between 8 - 9pm.

Summer break is almost here for Mommy. Her last day is Wednesday, but she has to go back on Thursday for some meeting stuff. I am so excited because Friday will be another Mommy and Niko day! We will take pictures :) Mommy and I are planning to do alot this summer. She thinks this summer will be better than last, since I can walk and "talk" now.

I have been using my hands alot. I like to play Peek a boo with them. I have been rubbing my face with me hands. I also point with my hand. One bad habit that I have though, pinching. Mommy does not like this habit. I don't hit (thank goodness) but I bite and pinch. Another stage, that we will get through.

I have gotten very close to my daddy. I like to snuggle with him and I get very excited when he comes home from work. I also let grampy hold me on Sunday. This was a big first. Grampy thinks it was because I was tired, but I really did not mind that he was holding me.

Well, I am very sleepy - Have a good week, and starting next week, there will be more posts :) Welcome Summer!!! Love, Niko
