Happy Halloween!

Hi Everyone,

We know it has been awhile since we have updated the blog, but Mommy has been very busy with school stuff. Mommy will be busy for another couple of weeks. She is dreading conference time. She will not see me for two days!! She hates those days :(

I have been a very good boy lately. My sleeping was perfect this week. I give a little problem about going down at 8pm - but it is barely a problem. I just make a few noises then I talk to myself, and then I go to bed. I have been sleeping through the night. Mommy loves when I do this. I am sure it won't last forever, but for the time being, we both are enjoying a good nights sleep.

I am advancing in so many skills. My social skills are so much better with men. Grampy and I have become very close. I will sit on the couch and watch Curious George with him. I also have conversations with both of my grandpas. It's amazing - they both know what I am saying! Grandpa Earl is in the hospital again, because his throat is bothering him, but he will be coming home soon - and I will get to see him when Baba comes over to babysit. Mommy is pretty impressed with my alphabet skills. She told me that my letter G was on the bathroom floor, and that I needed to go get it and put it on the fridge, and I did it! I follow directions really well. I am getting smarter and smarter everyday!

Mommy did have to call the doctor again. I am putting my hands over my ears, as if someone was screaming or making a loud noise. I am not in pain. The nurse just said to watch me. It may be teething. These darn teeth take a VERY long time to come through.

Halloween is here! I went to Mommy's school for a parade. Those kids are pretty neat. I was blowing them kisses and giving high fives. I also got to walk around the classroom. One of the girl's was in a wheelchair because she broke her leg, she had to stand up to take off her costume and I got right into her wheelchair and took off!! It was pretty funny, and amazing too. Saturday night, I am going to a craft fair and trick or treating. We will also be carving my first pumpkin. Mommy is packing extra clothes for both of us :) We may also do a hayride.

Hi Niko Fans,

Mommy apologizes for not updating the blog on Saturday. I refused to take a nap, and Mommy could not get much done that day. I am feeling much better. I was sick ALL week. Mommy took me to the doctor on Monday and Baba took me to the doctor on Friday. The doctor said I had a virus and I was over the worst part of the virus on Friday. Poor Baba has to take me back on Wednesday for my flu shot. I probably won't enjoy it. I still have a cough and a rattle in my chest, but the doctor says I will be fine. Mommy hopes that this cough doesn't last for a month, but she notices that the cough doesn't really bother me. I really wasn't feeling to good last week - Mommy felt bad. The grandmas did an excellent job taking care of me. I just snuggled with them. My sleep has been much better. Mommy covers me at 8pm and I am out!

Since I was feeling better, I needed to get out of the house! I was going stir crazy. We went to Boo at the Zoo on Sunday. I had fun. We did not stay too long, because it was cold, and I had a few meltdowns. I wore my Monkey costume and everyone loved it. It was a nice family outing.

Mommy and Daddy bought me letters for the fridge. I can point to the letter Mommy says, and say the alphabet. I make Mommy so proud! My behavior has been okay. Most of the time I am a good boy, but I have been pinching Mommy a lot lately. She is not okay with that :( She said there are some time outs in my future.

Our New Doctor

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update about out doctor visit. Mommy really likes our new doctor. Me? Not so much. I really wasn't in the mood to be poked and proded today. Our well visit turned into a sick visit. I woke up this morning with a sick cry. Mommy felt so bad. I did have a fever, and a raspy cough. The doctor thinks I have a virus. I may also be teething. We will see in a couple of weeks. I took a very long nap when we came home. Mommy gave me breakfast and then some Motrin. I woke up an hour after my nap - because my throat was hurting. Mommy rocked me back to sleep and I slept from 11 - 2pm. Mommy woke me up at 2pm, because I did not have lunch. I was in an okay mood for the rest of the day. Clingy and a little fussy - but did not have a fever! We decided to go to the library and Mommy got me a book.

Inches: 30 (I grew 1/2 inch)
Weight : 21 pounds 6 ounces (doc isn't worried about my weight)
No Flu Shot - due to my Fever - but the shot is coming in a few weeks

Hello Everyone,

On Saturday, Mommy and I took a trip to the Apple Orchard. It was a really neat experience. I only took an hour and a half nap, but I was in a good mood. We ate lunch, did some cleaning, and then left for the Apple Orchard. Mommy is loving this age right now - I get in Free everywhere. Mommy had to pay $8, but I was free - and will be free until I am 4 years old! We had to take a Hayride to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard. I was a very good boy on the way to the Orchard. I did not move an inch. On the way back, I wanted to explore, and Mommy wouldn't let me. The orchards were a lot of fun. It was okay to pick the apples and try them. I had three really nice apples. Mommy thought it was funny, when I take a bite out of the apple, she can hear the crunching noise that I was making :) We found three little pumpkins, but Mommy could only carry two. She had to leave her other hand free - for me of course! We did one maze. It was a good time!

I am still doing okay with the sleep. Mommy figures I get up early twice a week, which is normal. I have been spitting up lately. We don't know why, but we are going to the new doctor on Monday. Mommy will update the blog with Stats and other info. No new teeth have popped up yet. Mommy thinks my spitting up could be from teething. She is not giving me milk or tomatoes, until we know what is going on - or I get some medicine. I had acid reflux when I was a "baby". My mood has been awesome. Mommy does not know how I became such a good boy all of the sudden. She would like it to continue - we will see.... I like to go around the house and say "ball". When Mommy is folding laundry - I lay in the bed and pretend I am sleeping and make the "shh" noise.

Hi Niko Fans,

Thank goodness for the grandmas! Mommy can start using their photos on the blog. These pictures were taken in the summer. One night, when we went out to eat, I was not in the best mood (The one with Mommy). I had many temper tantrums that night :) We found out later that I had a molar coming through. However, I do take good pictures with my daddy ;)

I am not gonna lie - I had a rough week. I caught another cold, and Mommy is pretty sure I am teething again. Grammy caught my cold, so we know the stuffed up nose was not part of the teething, and that I just have another cold. Mommy is taking me to the doctor in a few weeks, so she is going to ask about vitamins for me. I get a cold once a month - and that needs to stop :) I was a good boy during the day - but at night, I would not sleep. Mommy puts me down at my normal time - 8pm. I usually go right to sleep. Not this week though - I stayed up way past my bedtime and then woke up every 1 - 3 hours. I have slept through the night for two nights straight. Mommy isn't crossing her fingers though. She doesn't think this will last. My poor Mommy! She has to stay up with me and then go to work the next day. Daddy helped out on Thursday. They took shifts in rocking and holding me. We hope this will pass soon!

Mommy is excited because Fall is here! We have some activities planned for the month of October. Grammy and I got my Halloween Costume. It is soooo cute on me!!! I will be a Monkey (no big surprise).

I need to go down for my nap! Have a good weekend :)
